Audit Summary

GN Audit Report GN is a new ERC-20 token that is an automatic liquidity providing protocol that pays out static rewards to holders.

For this audit, we reviewed the project team's GN and GNSwap contracts at commit f4512567631429a9c332830bda598addf30a8602 on the team's private GitHub repository.

Finding #1 - GN - Informational

Description: Although the SafeMath library is utilized, the contract is implemented with Solidity v0.8.x which has built-in overflow checks.
Recommendation: SafeMath could be safely removed to reduce contract size and deployment costs.

Contracts Overview

GN Contract:
  • The total supply of the token is set to 1 trillion $GN [1,000,000,000,000].
  • No mint or burn functions exist, though the circulating supply can be decreased by sending tokens to the 0x..dead address.
  • There was no token allocation for our team to analyze as the contract has yet to be deployed to the mainnet.

  • Trading must be enabled before all transfers can take place on the platform. Only accounts that have been excluded from fees can buy tokens when trading is disabled. Once trading is enabled, it cannot be disabled.
  • There is a Reflect fee, Liquidity fee, Internal fee, and Burn fee on all transfers via Uniswap where neither the sender nor the recipient is excluded from fees.
  • The tokens collected through the Reflect fee are removed from the circulating supply; This serves as a frictionless fee redistribution which automatically benefits all token holders at the time of each transaction.
  • The tokens collected through the Liquidity fee are stored in the contract address. The tokens are swapped for ETH for the purpose of funding Uniswap liquidity on all sell transactions as long as the contract is not currently swapping tokens.
  • Liquidity-adds are automatically performed by selling the tokens collected as fees, pairing the received ETH with the token, and adding it as liquidity to the ETH pair.
  • The LP tokens received through this process are sent to a wallet controlled by the team. We recommend that the team lock these newly acquired LP tokens.
  • The tokens collected through the Internal fee are swapped for ETH and split between two wallets controlled by the team.
  • The tokens collected through the Burn fee are sent to the 0x..dead address.
  • The contract features an Antisniper mechanism that is triggered when a user attempts to buy tokens within the same block of trading being enabled. The account initiating the transfer will be added to a transfer blacklist.
  • As the contract is implemented with Solidity v0.8.x, it is protected from overflows/underflows.
  • The contract complies with the ERC-20 token standard.
Ownership Controls:
  • The owner can modify the Reflect fee, Liquidity fee, Burn fee, and Internal fee for both fee structures to any percentages as long as the total fee percentage combined does not exceed 25%.
  • The owner can exclude and include accounts from transfer fees and reward distribution.
  • The owner can update the percentage of ETH that is allocated to each of the two team fee wallets at any time.
  • The owner can update the team's fee wallets to any addresses at any time.
  • The owner can add/remove accounts as a Uniswap Pair address at any time.
  • The owner can manually add/remove accounts from the Antisniper transfer blacklist at any time.
  • The owner can set the maximum number of tokens from the contract that can be used when swapping tokens to any value at any time.
  • The owner can withdraw any ETH from the contract at any time.
GNSwap Contract:
  • Users can call the swap() function to swap their v1 tokens for v2 tokens if they own any v1 tokens.
  • The v1 token and v2 token addresses will be set by the owner upon deployment.
  • The owner must manually set each user's v1 token balance.
  • The number of tokens a user will receive is 1.2x their v1 balance value set by the owner.
  • The contract must hold a sufficient number of the v2 token in order for a swap to be successful.
  • Users' full v1 token balance will be transferred to the contract address during a swap.
  • Users must grant the GNSwap contract an approval for their v1 token balance in order for a swap to be successful.
  • The owner can allow specified accounts to swap tokens more than once. The owner can also disallow specified accounts from being able to swap tokens at all.
  • The owner can update each users v1 token balance value that determines the number of v2 tokens they will receive during a swap to any values at any time.
  • The owner can withdraw any tokens from the contract at any time.

What is a Solidity Audit?

Typically, a smart contract audit is a comprehensive review process designed to discover logical errors, security vulnerabilities, and optimization opportunities within code. How Do I Interpret the Findings?

Each of our Findings will be labeled with a Severity level. We always recommend the team resolve High, Medium, and Low severity findings prior to deploying the code to the mainnet. Here is a breakdown on what each Severity level means for the project:

  • High severity indicates that the issue puts a large number of users' funds at risk and has a high probability of exploitation, or the smart contract contains serious logical issues which can prevent the code from operating as intended.
  • Medium severity issues are those which place at least some users' funds at risk and has a medium to high probability of exploitation.
  • Low severity issues have a relatively minor risk association; these issues have a low probability of occurring or may have a minimal impact.
  • Informational issues pose no immediate risk, but inform the project team of opportunities for gas optimizations and following smart contract security best practices.
